Cultural dinner experience!

We are sitted at the bustop, feels like Kenya bus station in Nairobi, really noisy and drivers confused! Our bus was supposed to be here 25mins ago! No sign of it! Sitted on the bench listening to the noises and the wonderful birds choir! I waste no time zoobing  so am gonna tell you about our wonderful cultural dinner experience!

You guessed again, we waited so long for the bus I almost lost consciousness from hunger. I am the kind of people when invited for dinner, skips lunch. I get myself prepared to eat! The only time I eat before is when am attending a Finnish party because they do snacks and salad! I learnt that on my 1st party is Finland! Had to drag my hungry ass by McDonald's after the party.

Again nobody apologizes in this country, it takes me way back to Kenya, things just flow, who cares? I do! Anyway, the bus finally came and our journey began! I was suprised none of us got nauseated, the sudden braking, taking u-turns anywhere and everyone hooting! Took me back to the roads in Goa, India, and I guess I gotta get used to that because as someone told me, this is Saudi and they won't change for you! Suck it up and deal with it!

Right! This was about dinner! I was writting lazy so i am just coming  back to finish the post ( a week later😲) We finally arrived to this traditional good looking restaurant

The restaurant was wonderful inside with Mats everywhere and traditionally decorated walls, single females, and single males were served in private sections complete with a door, gender specific! Sorry single's no time to socialize, you can do that on fb!
Families could eat in the open of if they chose to have it private, they got a room, on one hand it's a great way for people who know each other to socialize and talk! There was no Wifi either, talk to each other😏

Family sitting section.

Starters were served! Very good tasting dates and a coffee, didn't taste like coffee to me but they promised after a few months I will be looking for the coffee! Maybe not! It was served in a small cup, the size of the 4cl shot small glass! Alcoholics, you get me?

Dinner was massive, the last time I saw so much food and so much rice was in a kenyan party. It was alighned and served on the floor and we all sat around and shared. I liked that,  I liked their cream sauces and chapati like breads! I loved it and even took away for lunch😇
