Look at Her! Feel Her!

You're invited somewhere famous for a Sunday morning walk. You had been very active then and had nothing better to do than catch up with friends on long walks in your Motherland where you are now a visitor. Early Sunday morning !

Your Friend's friends arrive and introductions are civil. You note one, no eye contact. You feel her presence.

In this glorious walk, admist tall bold trees, you see her, you do not talk, you feel her. 

You look at the bright blue skies, you soak in the sun. The sun is literally shining on your face because you can feel her presence, you do not talk to her. You are in awe. You do not talk to her.

The walk ends. Catastrophe! You panic silently!. How can this end and you haven't talked to her, what if you never see her again? You see her, but do not talk o her.

A smart person proposes Lunch! Thank the universe for smart people. I think of it as a women empowerment lunch because all these women had moved back to Motherland and I wanted to hear their experiences.

The stories were amazing , until I heard her! The heart raced, overwhelmed. I feel her presence. Her story captures my soul. Deep inside I want to talk to her but I do not. Then , Alcohol, blessings to the ancestors! my throat was itchy and scratchy. My soul needed some courage pill, but I didn't need it.

She had seen me, she had felt my presence. She had not talked to me.

Heaven!!. She went through the same emotions all day and did not talk. Two people feeling the same thing in silence, what are soulmates? A great friendship was born that day.

Over the months we transitioned from friendship to partners to spouses. Travelling across the globe to be with each other and eventually moving countries to be together.

We have endured scrutiny, tough family members, tough societies and homophobic humans. With that, strong fighters have been born. 

We have done and do everything to protect us and each other from harsh conditions. What are soulmates.

Today I write this to celebrate you, to celebrate love, to celebrate endurance.

You have brought so much joy, love and compassion!

We said 'I DO' and I will say it over and over again. Best Decision Ever!
