What Drives us!

Yesterday i asked my mum a simple(#inmythoughts) question!, 'what drives you?' she explained in different phases in her life, different things have been a force that pushes her forward. She is now Driven most by us(me and my bro) Everyday whe wakes up early (ever since i can rem) to work inorder to sustain us. And so i thought now that am Grown up, mama has stopped thinking about me!(asif?) i was like but mum ' am all grown, so why keep thinking about me yet am an independent woman? '

You still drive me she said, knowing you are independent makes me wonna push till i can see your brother independent. For you my drive now is to guide you through marriage (yes am getting married soon) and guide you thorugh, i am waiting to play with my grandchildren and spoil them alittle ( donwant makids spoilt, God help!!)

So then today a've been thinking all day, what drives me! Alot i can say, but i have to make u guys laugh that once upon a time i was driven by the believe that i would be a musician(smh) i did some 3 songs, 2 are whack! then i did one that i still listen to on my mp3 and i love it, al keep it forever,(u know) it will always remind me of that point in life. I even once performed in a club in Nairobi that used to be known as Newyork( the things we do in life, lmfao).U shoudav seen me shaking like i was on American idol/dancer. heheheh#

Anyway, back to serious stuff, I am soo driven by life! i mean life brings soo much, look at the beautiful people, the beautiful world! wow...i am driven by love, the way i think of me and what i want to achieve in my life. Love from my friends, i love them to bits, dont know what i would do without them, i want to see them smile, see them happy, help out where i can and vice versa and it gives so much peace and satisfaction to see them blossom,(aawwww). My career drives me! i never thought ad ever work in healthcare!(never, but thanks to my cousin am there) . When people walk into a hospital, sick, others sad for having a loved one sick, and you are part of a team that brings back life, bring back smiles on relatives and friends faces, its magical, the feeling is soo strong, i get a patient and think of all i can do to make them smile admist of their pain, i do anything to keep the pain away. they drive me so much, its soo sad to see someone suffering. You just wonna push them out of their suffering.

My family gives me the strongest of them, i soo want them to be proud of me(n they soo are). i love them so much that if one had to go through something, ad wonna be there, throught the whole deal. Life is about happiness, and you cant makes others happy if you cant keep yourself happy. Being without DRIVE is like a mad man wandering around the world with no direction! Think about it! what drives you?

Empower the girl child!

what is it that comes to my mind when i think about the girl child? Alot i could say! Alot! Me having being one of them, it saddens me how the girl child comes out as! well, sometimes we enjoy it we cant say we dont( esp for attention lovers! like me! ha!). Depending on which part of the world you grow up in and the way communities have valued the girl child. I was over the moon when saudi agreed to send the female team to the olympics(hands up men! good job well done). To believe that a woman's place is somewhere, at home, taking care of husband and children while the men explore the world is a totally unfair thing! Imagine the pressure on those women, to shine and show the world that they deserved that after fighting for long! And down in history it will go, that women did participate in the olympics and am soo glad it starts from here! Mamma: Fare thee well; our fallen Hero!

I met you just about 5 years ago, i remember that day clearly, a stormy snowy November Evening. We had driven to Perniö through this shit storm. You had waited for a while to meet me, so excited your daughter had found love again. You couldn't wait and had called a few times trying to find out how far we were. I was quite nervous on the other hand, i thought of the petty stupid things, i thought of my colour and my presentation and wondered if you would approve. I was anxious for nothing as you proved to me..silly me.. Then we arrived, butterflies filled my tummy!
