Life above the clouds

am writing this post on flight enroute London-Abudhabi, happily sipping my glass of white(what would wdo without a glass, cheers to the wine makers). I was thinking of sending this photos above the clouds to my nearly 5 year old nephew and 6 month old goddaughter! Just to give these kids some dreams!

When I was that age, nobody I knew or was associated with had flown on a plane! The first person close to me to fly was my cousin to the U.K. I will never forget that night, all kids in a pickup to the airport, it might have been embarrassing for my cousin but it surely instilled a lot in us who were being left behind!

The notion that 'it is be possible'.

All parents and relatives(since kids in Africa are brought up by the village),insisted it was about education, so I guarded my pen, even through my wild teenage hood. I guarded that pen and paper to see the day! And many more that have followed.

So to my young kids, I can't tell you how many flights I have been on cos they are more than I ever imagined!

It is amazing to fly on such a sunny bright day! To be able to see the  beautiful orange horizon created by a wonderful sunset! To be able to look down and see those cumulus and stratocumulus clouds beneath! To imagine you are all in this machine way above ground! To also once in a while get scared and take a shot just to balance your fears.

Enjoy my views, from my tiny iPhone and hope that one day I will get to enjoy views taken by you.

Stay guarded.

(Between I finished this blog a day later cos my head got light, then I ended up posting another day later just because I got lazy)
