The Year that was!

It is Finally payday so I can talk! Christmas is a time that does not play justice to my bank account, and so I am extremely happy that it's gone and Jan is here! The month atleast everyone heads to the gym! Yea..I understand, the kind of craze eating and drinking like it's your last day on earth. I wish that's how we spend our everyday lives, like its the last, because believe me this would be the best world ever!

Happy new year! and BRAVO to 2014 cos it's gone forever! Hoping you made lots of happy and beautiful memories because thats what 2014 is now! A memory!😊

The year that was, favored me and my partner! The goals we set at the beginning of the year are fulfilled and the memories are as many to last us a lifetime. I am glad we never tire to beautify life. I am very thankfull to have spent that year loved, encouraged, supported, lifted, offered a shoulder to lean on and a good curl,😻thanks to our lovely cats😼😽 

The year that was, saddened me, in a lot of many ways, I still don't understand why Islam and Christianity are at war, why children were shot at and murdered by terrorists, why people disappeared during their flight and were never found, why Putin decided to invade Ukraine, why a flight full of passengers was shot down, why Alshabaab and Bokoharam have terrorized Africa..why why why parents, friends, families have been saddened by cruel deaths of their loved ones. My heart aches for the world we live in and I would wish nothing else but peace to those troubled at heart, I wish their tears dry and their smiles restored! I empathize with them and wish, hope that 2015 will be a better year:-) courage to you all.

I have no resolutions for the new year, I just aim to be a better person, a better partner, a better nurse, a better friend, a better daughter, a better sister and a better Aunt. Best as I can be.
I will be good to those that are good me, have nothing to do with termites.

Let's embrace a new year with Joy, peace and Lots of champagne 🍸🍸

And not forgetting to wish you all richness.. Please don't tell me you don't care about money.. I slowly have learnt that money can buy you Happiness! Right.. I know you secretely think.. Yea! She's right! I just won't say it out Loud😃

Empower the girl child!

what is it that comes to my mind when i think about the girl child? Alot i could say! Alot! Me having being one of them, it saddens me how the girl child comes out as! well, sometimes we enjoy it we cant say we dont( esp for attention lovers! like me! ha!). Depending on which part of the world you grow up in and the way communities have valued the girl child. I was over the moon when saudi agreed to send the female team to the olympics(hands up men! good job well done). To believe that a woman's place is somewhere, at home, taking care of husband and children while the men explore the world is a totally unfair thing! Imagine the pressure on those women, to shine and show the world that they deserved that after fighting for long! And down in history it will go, that women did participate in the olympics and am soo glad it starts from here! Mamma: Fare thee well; our fallen Hero!

I met you just about 5 years ago, i remember that day clearly, a stormy snowy November Evening. We had driven to Perniö through this shit storm. You had waited for a while to meet me, so excited your daughter had found love again. You couldn't wait and had called a few times trying to find out how far we were. I was quite nervous on the other hand, i thought of the petty stupid things, i thought of my colour and my presentation and wondered if you would approve. I was anxious for nothing as you proved to me..silly me.. Then we arrived, butterflies filled my tummy! You were standing by the door before I even got out the car,  and the moment I did, you stretched your arms, hugged and said ' welcome to our home, you have been so awaited,' the butterflies vanished, just like that, because that's the kind of woman you were!
