Most popular questions Finns ask foreigners!

I am in the process of getting my lovely partner to get me a t-shirt engraved with all answers to these questions that i tire to answer. I have put together these questions because its not been fun to answer them everyday of my life, sometimes, when someone looks at me like they want to say something, i almost reflexly start singing where i was born and what i am doing here😂

Where do you come from? When i first came here i proudly answered this question, over the years i feel very associated with Finland that i simply want to just say the city i live in! The shocked eyes back when i simply answer Helsinki!😳. It will be simple from now on: Helsinki, Kenia! That will confuse you enough and save me from the other questions on the list!, unless ofcourse you are old and sincerely buffled by this beautiful human creature that found way into your land😃

How did you come here? Now this is one question out of curiosity, i have not figured out yet the right answer but i try, i am Kenyan born, i ran here! Ok.. Your eyes are almost Popped out, ofcourse there's an Airport where i come from. Another way to answer it would be, i came to study, graduated, got a job and here i am now. No, i am not an asylum seeker staying at home using up your tax money, we share the same opinion about the tax man! 

How do you like the winter? Are you kidding me? Who loves winter? I want to have snow and a white christmas but please let the degrees remain on the + side, let there be one place in the world where it snows like crazy and all the winter lovers can move there during winter and ski, the rest of us love it warm,.. Shhh, just don't say it, don't tell me to go back to my warm country, i know you want to come with me, welcome🌷

Do you love it here? With a huge smile on my face,😃 i do love it here, that's exactly the reason i have been here this long, stay put and tighten your seatbelt cos i am not going anywhere! And if i go, I will be back!(haha.. That makes me feel like a haunting witch👹).

Have you found a Finnish man? Hahaha, how do we answer this now, some thin sweat drips! I do believe there are many good Finnish men that make wonderful husbands, but no, i have not found one, neither did one of them ever find me back in the day when i could have been maybe interested. confused? You do not ask people personal questions on 1st encounter(atleast that I have learnt in this country) but to answer your question i have found this lovely Finnish woman and that is a story for another day:)

Before you ask me questions, please keep your face smiley and cute so you don't look like you are interrogating me, only CID officers will get their answers that way. I appreciate happy lovely people who ask these questions out of joy and out of the fact that they like being around different people and different cultures! I do answer such people with lots of humility and love and share with them a cup of tea or a glass of wine.

My answers will depend on your facial expression and the vibe i get from you! Don't get it twisted! 
Finland is a country i have come to love and enjoy but there's still a lot to learn when it comes to foreigners and how to handle them! I see we are opening up! Wonderful!:)

Empower the girl child!

what is it that comes to my mind when i think about the girl child? Alot i could say! Alot! Me having being one of them, it saddens me how the girl child comes out as! well, sometimes we enjoy it we cant say we dont( esp for attention lovers! like me! ha!). Depending on which part of the world you grow up in and the way communities have valued the girl child. I was over the moon when saudi agreed to send the female team to the olympics(hands up men! good job well done). To believe that a woman's place is somewhere, at home, taking care of husband and children while the men explore the world is a totally unfair thing! Imagine the pressure on those women, to shine and show the world that they deserved that after fighting for long! And down in history it will go, that women did participate in the olympics and am soo glad it starts from here! Mamma: Fare thee well; our fallen Hero!

I met you just about 5 years ago, i remember that day clearly, a stormy snowy November Evening. We had driven to Perniö through this shit storm. You had waited for a while to meet me, so excited your daughter had found love again. You couldn't wait and had called a few times trying to find out how far we were. I was quite nervous on the other hand, i thought of the petty stupid things, i thought of my colour and my presentation and wondered if you would approve.
