Summer Fever!

You can tell i have been lazy to write or have been busy enjoying my crazy summer. Its almost mid-summer and we are yet to have consistent summer weeks without the interferance of Mr rain. We are ofcourse very thankfull for the real sunny days we got! I, for one have enjoyed them to the max since i am not one who waits to live another day. 

One of the biggest summer problems is spending vs savings. Summer brings alot of feel free, feel good and a little kind of dont care attitude, if you know what i mean. We pass by the shops And they are all screaming Sales! You want to meet your friends and you always end up in the terrace having a glass or two, you sit for cake and coffee, you go picnics And everything involves spending! Spend wisely but dont miss out on the summer fun! Looking from my spendings last summer, i have come up with some lovely ways to spend less, so yes, you are welcome to borrow a thought. First, stop drinking😂, did you just laugh, or who i am kidding😂😂😂😂. That might be impossible, did i just say might?! lets just agree we shall quit next summer and seeing like the bars are enjoying selling a glass of wine for the prize of 2 bottles of wine!, i have come up with easy solutions! Take your cool box, buy your wine from the shops, make some salad, sit in the park and enjoy the sun! Add a book and you are in heaven as the moments last. As for the shops, why dont we just look straight on and focus on where we are going or keep off shopping malls! 

Travel well, drive safely! Theres an excited nerve that gets us to speed! Follow the rules and be at the right speed, having worked in trauma icu last summer, i can honestly tell you you can be cabbage from crushing off your expensive car! So lets save our cars...

I am so excited this summer! I thought last summer was a blast, but i have good feelings about this one too, a big project coming up, a wedding to attend away in one of the world's most beautiful islands, celebrating my partner, the list is endless..

Empower the girl child!

what is it that comes to my mind when i think about the girl child? Alot i could say! Alot! Me having being one of them, it saddens me how the girl child comes out as! well, sometimes we enjoy it we cant say we dont( esp for attention lovers! like me! ha!). Depending on which part of the world you grow up in and the way communities have valued the girl child. I was over the moon when saudi agreed to send the female team to the olympics(hands up men! good job well done). To believe that a woman's place is somewhere, at home, taking care of husband and children while the men explore the world is a totally unfair thing! Imagine the pressure on those women, to shine and show the world that they deserved that after fighting for long! And down in history it will go, that women did participate in the olympics and am soo glad it starts from here! I am glad our mothers fought for some things, but woe unto us, we are still fighting to liberate ourselves. To know that we can do something!...

Mamma: Fare thee well; our fallen Hero!

I met you just about 5 years ago, i remember that day clearly, a stormy snowy November Evening. We had driven to Perniö through this shit storm. You had waited for a while to meet me, so excited your daughter had found love again. You couldn't wait and had called a few times trying to find out how far we were. I was quite nervous on the other hand, i thought of the petty stupid things, i thought of my colour and my presentation and wondered if you would approve. I was anxious for nothing as you proved to me..silly me.. Then we arrived, butterflies filled my tummy! You were standing by the door before I even got out the car,  and the moment I did, you stretched your arms, hugged and said ' welcome to our home, you have been so awaited,' the butterflies vanished, just like that, because that's the kind of woman you were!
